I’ve also been on the other side. Working 5am to 2am. Basically three workdays in 24 hour period. One night, I’m getting home at 2 a.m. and my wife is waiting up for me. Quickly realizing it wasn’t because she wanted to….you know…..get intimate….she breaks down in super ugly, giant tears, snot running, hyperventilating crying. I wait. Finally she speaks. “I’m a single parent.”
